Mid-quarter already  and if you’re like most recruiters, you’re eyeing that final stretch to hit (or smash) target before year-end.
Here are 5 quick wins to help you turn potential into commission before the champagne starts flowing:

  1. RE-ENGAGE YOUR WARMEST RELATIONSHIPS
    Forget hunting cold leads this month. Go back to your placed candidates, past clients, or that “almost closed” deal.
    People are in reflection mode  checking budgets, planning headcount. Now’s the time to pick up the phone and say, “How did that hire go?” or “How’s the team tracking before next year?”
  2. LOOK FOR QUICK-FILL ROLES
    Dont tell your boss we said this but for now its ok not to chase the long game now. Focus on clients who are already interviewing or have sign-off but haven’t found the right candidate.
    Tighten your shortlist, move fast, and own the turnaround narrative.
  3. GET YOUR CANDIDATES MARKET-READY
    There are great recruiters sitting on gold-standard candidates who just need a polish on their story or CV.
    If you’ve got a few strong profiles, spend time positioning them not just sending them.
  4. DON’T FORGET THE REFERRALS
    Referrals convert twice as fast and close twice as often, especially now.
    Reach out to your best candidates and say, “Who’s the next rising star I should know before year end?”
  5. PROTECT YOUR MINDSET
    This is the season where deals wobble and clients delay (often to January!). The difference between finishing strong or fading out often comes down to who stays consistent when others check out.
    Small wins matter. Calls, intros, follow-ups: they all stack. Check and recheck details, don’t overlook the basics!

Comms aren’t earned in one big swing, they’re built on a hundred small, disciplined actions.
