About the Company
Our client is a global recruitment leader with an established presence across Asia, EMEA, and the US. Specialising in Energy and Infrastructure, the business partners with leading organisations to deliver talent solutions that support the global energy transition.
As part of its regional growth strategy, the firm is seeking a Head of Japan to be based in Singapore and lead its Japan-focused business. This is a client-facing role with responsibility for originating senior-level searches, managing retained and contingent projects, and building out a specialist team over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Japan-focused business unit, driving recruitment strategy and delivery.
- Originate and manage high-level searches across Energy and Infrastructure in Japan.
- Execute retained and contingent assignments with precision and strong client outcomes.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with senior clients and candidates in the Japanese market.
- Identify and capture new business opportunities to expand market presence.
- Grow and develop a small team over time to support expansion.
Ideal Profile
- Proven experience in client-facing recruitment, ideally within Energy, Infrastructure, or related technical sectors.
- Established network and strong market knowledge in Japan.
- Track record of originating and successfully delivering both retained and contingent search projects.
- Leadership ability or ambition to grow and manage a team.
- Open to candidates from other industries with strong commercial skills and interest in Energy & Infrastructure.
