We are conducting a confidential search for a Senior or Principal Consultant to specialise in Actuarial Recruitment within an established global recruitment platform recognised for its strength in insurance hiring across Asia and internationally.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a mature, revenue-generating desk with immediate traction and long-standing client relationships already in place.

THE ROLE

You will take ownership of an established actuarial recruitment desk within a well-regarded insurance practice. The desk comes with:

  • Active, live mandates
  • A ready-made preferred supplier client base
  • An existing actuarial candidate network and database
  • Long-standing relationships across insurers and related institutions

You will work alongside senior consultants within the broader practice, leveraging shared market intelligence and client access, while maintaining autonomy over your own desk strategy and revenue growth.

This is a specialist, relationship-led role – focused on expertise and credibility rather than high-volume delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Desk Ownership & Revenue Growth

  • Manage and grow an established actuarial recruitment desk
  • Drive billing performance through consultative, specialist recruitment
  • Deepen relationships with existing preferred clients
  • Identify new business opportunities within the insurance ecosystem

Client & Candidate Advisory

  • Act as a trusted advisor to insurers and actuarial leaders
  • Conduct senior-level conversations with qualified, part-qualified, and leadership-level actuaries
  • Maintain a high-touch, relationship-driven approach to candidate engagement
  • Provide market insights, compensation benchmarking, and hiring strategy guidance

Market Specialisation

  • Build and strengthen your reputation as an actuarial subject-matter expert
  • Map the actuarial talent landscape across Singapore and the region
  • Collaborate with insurance-focused peers to maximise cross-sell opportunities

IDEAL PROFILE

  • Proven experience in insurance recruitment; actuarial specialisation preferred
  • Strong understanding of the insurance and actuarial talent market
  • Demonstrated success in relationship-led recruitment
  • Confident engaging senior stakeholders and technically strong candidates
  • Commercially driven but quality-focused
  • Motivated by long-term partnership building rather than transactional billing
